Born For This™ | For Those Who Know | March 28, 2026
Saturday March 28, 2026 the UFC touches down at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, and the card is loaded from top to bottom. We're breaking down every fight worth talking about — and spotlighting two people in our corner who are stepping into that octagon tonight.
Main Event: Israel Adesanya vs. Joe Pyfer
Middleweight — 185 lbs
"The Last Stylebender" doesn't need an introduction, but his current situation does. Israel Adesanya is a two-time middleweight champion and one of the most technically brilliant strikers this sport has ever seen. He's also on a three-fight losing streak and walking into tonight carrying the kind of weight that doesn't show up on the scale.
Joe "Bodybagz" Pyfer is ranked #14 and has rattled off three straight wins, including a recent finish of Abusupiyan Magomedov at UFC 320. He's not intimidated by the name, the legacy, or the moment. He wants to take Adesanya's spot — plain and simple.
When Izzy is locked in, he's nearly impossible to catch clean. His footwork and timing are still elite. But recent version of Adesanya has looked hesitant, and Pyfer is exactly the kind of relentless pressure fighter that exploits hesitation. If Izzy recaptures the magic, it's a masterclass. If Pyfer's engine doesn't quit, it could be a statement night for the contender. Either way, this is the main event for a reason.
🌟 Co-Main Event: Alexa Grasso vs. Maycee Barber
Women's Flyweight — 125 lbs
Alexa Grasso is a special fighter. Seeing her compete at this level never gets old.
Her story doesn't need embellishment. In March 2023 she walked into the octagon and submitted Valentina Shevchenko — one of the most dominant champions in the history of the sport — to become the first Mexican-born women's UFC champion ever. That wasn't just a fight result. That was history. She then went to war with Shevchenko twice more, including a draw in the rematch that had the entire combat sports world talking.
Tonight she faces Maycee "The Future" Barber in a rematch of their February 2021 fight, which Alexa won by unanimous decision. Five years is a long time in this sport. Barber has reeled off seven straight wins and enters as the betting favorite. She's bigger, she's more aggressive than ever, and she believes this is her time.
But here's what people tend to forget about Alexa Grasso — she's been counted out before. Her boxing is sharp, her footwork is clean, and she has the ability to make even the best fighters look sloppy. She's fought the best the division has to offer and held her own every time.
🔴 Born For This™ x Ricky Simon — Prelims: Ricky Simon vs. Adrian Yanez
Bantamweight — 135 lbs
Ricky Simon is our guy. He's a homie, a collaborator, and someone who represents everything Born For This™ stands for. He's also a Pacific Northwest fighter heading into his home state tonight, and that matters.
If you've been watching Ricky fight, you know what you're getting. He is one of the most relentless grapplers in the bantamweight division — a 4.66 takedown average per 15 minutes, suffocating top control, and the kind of pressure that breaks people mentally before it breaks them physically. He's fought Merab Dvalishvili, Raphael Assuncao, Jack Shore — seasoned, ranked opponents — and every single time he's walked in ready to compete.
Adrian Yanez is dangerous on the feet. High output, real power, and a track record of putting people to sleep. Ricky can't stand in front of him and trade — but that was never the plan. Get it to the mat, control the pace, take rounds away from a striker. That's the formula, and Ricky executes it as well as anyone at 135.
He's coming off a tough loss to Raoni Barcelos. Tonight is about bouncing back with the home crowd behind him. We'll be loud for him.
Other Fights to Watch
Terrance McKinney vs. Kyle Nelson — Lightweight McKinney grew up in Spokane and has never seen a scorecard in his career — every single fight has ended early. If you want a finish, this is the first one to lock in. Nelson has the toughness to hang around, but T. Wrecks in the early rounds is a different kind of dangerous.
Michael Chiesa vs. Niko Price — Welterweight This is "Maverick" Chiesa's retirement fight, and it's happening in his home state. Originally scheduled against Carlston Harris, he got Niko Price on short notice after visa issues. The Seattle crowd is going to be loud for this one. A proper send-off for a fighter who's given everything to this sport.
Casey O'Neill vs. Gabriella Fernandes — Women's Flyweight King Casey is one of the most talented young fighters in the women's flyweight division. Sharp grappler, real finishing ability, and a chip on her shoulder after a rough stretch. This is the kind of fight where she reminds everyone why she's on the radar.
Marcin Tybura vs. Tyrell Fortune — Heavyweight Fortune makes his UFC debut tonight against a top-10 heavyweight. He's been finishing people at will on the regional circuit. Whether he can handle the step up is the question — and it's worth watching to find out.
