Some collabs are built around hype. This one is built around a story that hits different — because it's real.
Born For This™ is proud to announce our limited-edition collaboration with UFC flyweight Alessandro Costa, dropping now ahead of his bout at UFC Fight Night: Moicano vs. Duncan on Saturday, April 4, 2026, live from the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. This is a collection as hard-earned as the man behind it, and once it's gone, it's gone.
The Man Behind The Collab
Before the Octagon, before the UFC contract, before any of it — Alessandro Costa was sweeping streets and hauling garbage in Mexico, thousands of miles from his hometown of Manaus, Brazil. He moved to Mexico at 19 years old for a jiu-jitsu tournament and made the decision to stay, betting everything on martial arts with no safety net and no guarantees. He built his team from the ground up, founded Brazilian Warriors, earned the LUX Fight League flyweight title, and eventually won on Dana White's Contender Series before forcing his way into the UFC. That's not a highlight reel. That's a whole life compressed into a single direction: forward.
He started capoeira at seven years old and found BJJ at fourteen — by his own account, the discipline that pulled him out of difficult circumstances growing up in the Petrópolis district of Manaus. Everything he's become in the cage is a direct product of that foundation. A 14-5 professional record, six submission wins, five stoppages, and a Performance of the Night bonus at UFC 301 where he finished Kevin Borjas with punches from back mount. Nono doesn't fight pretty. He fights with purpose.
The Fight: Costa vs. Nicoll — April 4, 2026
Event: UFC Fight Night 272 — Moicano vs. Duncan Date: Saturday, April 4, 2026 Venue: Meta APEX, Las Vegas, Nevada Broadcast: Paramount+, Prelims 5 PM ET / Main Card 8 PM ET Bout: Flyweight — Alessandro "Nono" Costa (14-5) vs. Stewart "Kakamora" Nicoll (8-2)
Costa steps back into the Octagon looking to bounce back after a TKO loss to Alden Coria at Noche UFC in September 2025. He faces Stewart Nicoll of Australia, who carries an 8-2 record into the bout after back-to-back losses inside the UFC — a decision defeat to Lucas Rocha in October 2025, and a first-round submission loss to Jesus Aguilar at UFC 305. Nicoll is hungry and has a grappling-heavy background, but Costa carries the deeper UFC experience, the more seasoned finishing game, and the advantage on the feet.
Keys To Victory For Costa
The blueprint for a Costa win runs directly through his best attributes. He is fundamentally a jiu-jitsu practitioner who has added legitimate striking behind a right hand that has ended careers — a lunging right hook that creates offense and a sharp counter right hand when pressured back. His speed, endurance, and explosiveness are what define him in the flyweight division, and when he gets to pace a fight on his terms, he is difficult to contain.
Against Nicoll, Costa needs to establish his striking early, dictate distance, and avoid getting pulled into a slow grappling war that could muddy the scorecards. His BJJ credentials are among the strongest in the division — six submission wins on his record — so if the fight does go to the ground, the edge belongs to Costa. The key is pressure. Consistent, intelligent forward pressure that prevents Nicoll from settling into a rhythm and forces mistakes. Costa has shown he can win by decision and by stoppage. The version of Costa that earned a Performance of the Night bonus — aggressive, controlled, opportunistic — is the version that wins this fight clean.
